BioI chose the handle "SubliminalBrad" for two reasons. First, while in independance Nick, Josh, Bryan and myself thought it would be funny to hit on women at a bar under assumed names. So, we grabbed a phonebook and randomly chose names for ourselves, myself choosing "Brad Williams." Secondly, in the movie Fight Club they embedded what David Fincher termed "Subliminal Brads" throughout the film, four which were single-frame insertions and one hidden presence in a TV commercial to highlight the emerging psychosis of Tyler Durden.
